1979 Goblin Radio Teasmade 870
In about 1979 Goblin brought out a Radio version of the 870 teasmade. It was the first teasmade to feature a radio. A proposal for the radio teasmade 870 was drafted in March 1977. Grundig were selected to supply the radios. but not informed of reason for initial purchase. On our photograph the wire radio aerial is visible to the right. There is also a speaker grille and an auxiliary earphone plug.

In July 1981 Goblin brought out a special 'wedding list' advert to tie in with the marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. I will add it here soon.
