Spare parts for teasmades
How to obtain spares for vintage teasmades.

Spare parts and teapots
Spares for obsolete teasmades are no longer manufactured. Your options are:
- Online parts retailers for standard parts.
- Long established electrical shops holding old stocks in their store rooms.
- Moorgoods for a good selection of new and used parts. They also have a shop on eBay.
- Single parts for sale, or complete vintage teasmades which can be cannibalised, on eBay, other online sales platforms, or at car boot sales.
- Clock repairers, who may hold some standard parts in stock.
Light bulbs and braided fabric cable
For light bulbs and braided fabric cable there are a number of specialist suppliers online, for example you could try the Vintage Light Bulb Company.
Clocks
Many clock parts are standard. Check our Clock Faults and Repairs post for more advice.
Washers
Washers are available from a variety of sellers - Woad Pipework on eBay has a good selection and has been a reliable supplier for Doug.

Past repair?
If your teasmade is past repairing or you don’t think it’s worth selling, please don’t chuck it out! See here for my advice on buying and selling.
Notes
Sadly Gordon Hawkins of Penkridge, one of the last main suppliers of parts, has now retired and nobody took over his business.
